Anal Discomfort

Anal discomfort is common in general population.
Itching, pain, presence of blood in the stool, hemorrhoids, , tightness, burning and many other symptoms can ocure. Fortunately, many of these problems are not relatet with serious diseases and can be treated at home.
Most often this problems are caused by constipation, hemorrhoids or diarrhea. Not so often problems can be due to bacterial infections, parasites such as worms, candida. or hypersensitivity on drugs or food, as well as to cosmetic products.
Eating more fruits and vegetables in the daily diet (at least five times a day), drinking more fluids (not alcohol and carbonated drinks with a lot of refined sugar) can be very helpful. Also, it is not bad to avoid very coffee and spicy foods.
Also required is a detailed and everyday hygiene of the anal area and hands. Females should wipe themselves from the front to the back, to prevent the spreading of bacteria and reducing the chance of urinary infections.
Underwear should be from cotton, not synthetic, and should be changed every day.
You should pay attention which soup you are using and try to identify the product that you are alergic to.
The skin around the anus must always be clean and dry, and you must avoid scratching.
Marigold ointment can help alleviating itching of anus,  applied in a thin layer, only on clean and dry skin.
A bath with a little lavender oil may also help.
Siting down  first in hot water and then in cold repeatedly every day can also help.

If problems still persist, contact your doctor.
